PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

The Professional Practice committee will address issues related to CASp instruments of service which will include CASp report, CASp certificate, and CASp survey and establish standards for required inspection and documentation. These items will be reviewed and updated periodically as the nature of our work evolves and the codes and regulations that are applied to our work change.

PUBLIC OUTREACH

The Public Outreach committee will address issues relating to education of the public on Accessibility. This will include articles and information for general dissemination on both SB 1608 and Accessibility. It will also include networking with other organizations, institutes, and agencies that support various issues affecting people with disabilities. Members will also outreach to companies that provide services and/or products that improve the accessibility of the built environment.

MEMBER OUTREACH

The Member Outreach committee will provide support for members of CASI. The committee will research and coordinate special events, educational seminars, and an Accessibility Products Fair as well as researching membership benefits. The committee will also interface with various types of Accessibility Celebrations such as the 20th Year ADA Celebration.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

The Professional Standards committee will be addressing the higher CASI standards of practice including code of ethics, and conduct. The committee will also address the exam content and building codes in a manner to be able to interact with the appropriate State Agencies.
